I took a ceramic painting course with Rachel, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Rachel is such a kind and warm person — she makes you feel welcome from the very first moment. In just two days, I learned so much that I now feel confident enough to start my own studio! The course covers all the essential techniques, including glazing and how to use the kiln. Everything is so well organized, with a delicious lunch provided each day. Rachel even arranged transport for me, picking me up and dropping me off at my hotel. I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher or a more inspiring experience. Highly recommended!
I am in the process of starting a pottery painting and ceramics studio and enrolled on Rachel’s 2 day course. It was absolutely fabulous and I cannot recommend it enough for anyone joining or already in the industry.
Her knowledge is unrivalled and she knows absolutely everything about this business. The 2 day one-to-one course was great for me coz I got to ask endless (often stupid) questions and I honestly came away feeling like I’d learned so much. She is very lovely and easy to be with and we had a really fun couple of days.
She taught me several painting techniques I had never heard of, including a banding sponge, her own spongeits, a marble effect, an ombré effect, and myriad of tips and tricks I can’t wait to get using myself.
She also let me do a lot of hands on behind the scenes things like dipping finished pieces in a clear glaze, dry footing, “finger sanding” and checking pieces and loading the kiln – this hands on experience is unrivalled compared to reading about how to do these things.
As I completed her course I am now part of a WhatsApp community created by her and other professionals she’s helped set up, and this is proving to be a friendly and invaluable resource.
Best money I’ve spent on my new venture and so worth it! Thanks a million Rachel,

Rachel provided us with a training visit at the launch of our studio and her help and expertise was invaluable. It gave us a flying start to the business along with on the job training for our staff. We cannot recommend this enough and are so glad we made this choice.
What a fabulous couple of days spent with Rachel, I have learnt so much and being a complete novice, I have come away with so much confidence and knowledge to be able to open my pottery painting business.
